Thomaston – Mr. Raymond B. Baldwin, 89, passed away on Friday morning, November 3, at the Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington. He was the husband of the late Ruth (Thomson) Baldwin.
Mr. Baldwin was born December 7, 1927 in Thomaston, son of the late Frank and Amy (Sills) Baldwin. Raised in Thomaston he had attended local schools and was a graduate of Thomaston High School, class of 1946. He was employed as a tool maker and in 1973 started his own business, Cobal Tool, Inc., which he ran until his death. He will be remembered for the joy he found in spending time with his children and grandchildren and vacations.
He is survived by two sons, Todd H. Baldwin and his wife Judith of Torrington and Tracey L. Baldwin of Thomaston; one sister, Stella Brammer of Thomaston; two grandchildren, Lauren Foley and her husband Robert and Joshua Baldwin; four great grandchildren, Zachary, Anthony, Kailyne and Brayden and many nieces and nephews.
Committal services will be held on Saturday, November 11, at 11:00 A.M. at the Hillside Cemetery in Thomaston. A memorial service will follow at the Northfield Bible Church, 10 Camp Hill Rd in Northfield at 12:00 P.M.
