Tribute
Thomaston – Mr. Robert K. Morton, 68, passed away on Monday, May 9, at his home. He was the husband of Jean (Rogers) Morton.
Robert was born June 24, 1953 in Waterbury, son of the late Frank W., Sr and Jean (North) Morton. Raised in Thomaston he attended local schools and was a graduate of Thomaston High School, class of 1971. He met the love of his life in kindergarten and married her a month after graduation. Upon graduation, he went to work at Model Craft Company, a job he held until his retirement in 2016.
Robert enjoyed woodworking, fishing, hunting, playing cards, spending time at his pond and building his Christmas Tree Farm. He was a proud life member of the Thomaston Fish and Game Club and will be remembered for Morton’s Annual Fishing Derby.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Craig Morton and his wife Cheryl, Robert Morton and his wife Becky and Sarah Morton, all of Thomaston; his grandchildren Jake, Emily and Haley Morton; his siblings, Frank W. Morton, Jr and his wife Gail, Kim LaChance and Lori Vigeant and her husband Timmy. He was predeceased by his brothers, John and Mark Morton and sister, Pam Morton.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 13, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Lyons Funeral Home 46 High St. Thomaston. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at the Covenant Church 64 Grove St. Thomaston. Burial will be private.
