Victor M. Aponte III

Bantam - Victor Manuel Aponte lll, 36 years old of Bantam, CT passed away Friday July 13th unexpectedly at home.

Victor was a very hardworking, kind, and intelligent man. He was a valued employee at Dolphin Pools and Spas for 18 years as their lead service technician. All his customers and co-workers adored him. Victor always had a “way with the ladies” and was voted class heartbreaker when he graduated from Litchfield High School in 2001. Everyone who came into contact with Victor loved him. He was a genuinely good, kind-hearted man who was the first to lend a hand to anyone in need. In his free time Victor loved to ride his quad, work on cars, or simply relax and watch cartoons. A big kid, and true mamas boy at heart.

Victor is survived by his handsome 13 year old son Alex Aponte of Newtown, CT, Alex will miss quading, go karting, and mudding with his dad. Victor is also survived by his parents Francis and Nina Lee Fournier of N. Ft Myers,Florida, Grandmother Lee Orris, 3 sisters, Mari Lee Fritz, Aimie Melko, and Jacqui Fournier, and a brother Julian Aponte, 2 brother in laws, who were also his best friends Robert Melko and Ben Fritz, nieces Hailie, Shailyn, Jasmine, Aurora, Ava-Lee, Madisyn, Emma and Aria also 2 nephews Robert and August who all adored their “Uncle Pooh”, He is also survived by his fiance Angela Guidi and her daughter Brielle of Bantam Ct whom he adored dearly and all his loving Aunts, Uncles, and many cousins who looked up to him. This is a tragic loss for so many family and friends who will always remember the goofy, handy, hard working and kind hearted soul that Victor was.

Services will be held Thursday July 19th from 4-6pm at the Lyons Funeral Home, 46 High St. in Thomaston, CT and a Celebration of life will follow at Litchfield Firehouse.
