Well, Mr. Robinson. I am a bit slow in responding amongst those who have many wonderful memories of you as a person and as a teacher. You were a close and dear friend of my mother, your classmate. My mother held the highest esteem for you. For me, you were a thoughtful and present teacher as I navigated through high school. Your recommendation to college was instrumental in my acceptance to a college who had never accepted a person from our town. Your memory will burn forever as a candle to honor the best in people, and to honor a friend, advisor and teacher of so many. God bless you Mr Robinson. You are missed.

Mr. Robinson was a true gentleman. Whenever we would meet he would always ask about my brother and sister. His love of history and of humanity was very evident in his teaching. The world is diminished with his passing.

I am sad to hear that Mr. Robinson has passed away. I ran into him on the Friday after Thanksgiving at mass at the Lourdes of Litchfield Shrine. I"m go glad that on that day, I was able to tell Mr. Robinson in person about what a great history teacher he was, and how he inspired me to also become a history educator. In fact, he even wrote a letter of recommendation which helped me get into UCONN's School of Education in 1993. I was able to thank him again in person for that great help too. Mr. Robinson, thank you for everything you have done for the youth and people of Thomaston over the years. You will be greatly missed by all.

Mr. Robinson was a terrific history teacher and instilled in me a love for history...especially early European history and local history. No matter where I have traveled and lived I am always curious about the area I am in. I want to know what those old buildings were used for, who built them and why the towns have grown and changed. Thank you Mr. Robinson for enriching my life.

Mr. Robinson was one of my favorite teachers in high school. He taught my parents and then 20 years later taught me. He always joked when he retired after our senior year - “I taught your parents, I taught you, and I’m retiring before I can teach your child!” I loved his sense of humor and everyone taught by him learned something. Thoughts with all who knew him...RIP Mr. Robinson, 38 years of Thomaston children learning from you will never be forgotten.
