Thomaston – Mrs. Wanda M. (Kavesky) Wolf, 92, passed away on Sunday evening, March 26, at Brandywine in Litchfield. She was the widow of Ralph Wolf.
Wanda was born April 12, 1924 in Winsted, daughter of the late Edmund and Henrietta Kavesky. Raised in Winsted she was a graduate of Gilbert High School class of 1941. Prior to her retirement she had worked for Stromberg, Seth Thomas Clock and Minelco.
She was an active member of the Thomaston Seniors and was in charge of refreshments for 14 years. Wanda was one of Thomaston’s first police women. She helped the police when there was a woman involved. She also watched over the teenagers when they had dances at the Grove Street School. She was a member of the First Congregational Church, was an avid bowler and enjoyed bingo.
She is survived by one sister, Veronica Audia of Marietta, GA and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside service will be held in the Hillside Cemetery at a date and time to be announced. Arrangements are in the care of the Lyons Funeral Home 46 High St. Thomaston.
