William F. Hayes Jr.

Arcadia, FL – William F. Hayes, Jr., 64, passed away unexpectedly on January 1, 2023. 

Bill was born on November 26, 1958 in Waterbury, son of the late William F. Sr., and Jeanette (Dery) Hayes.
William was an extremely talented CNC machinist who owned and operated Bilaze Precision Manufacturing in Watertown for a number of years. He was a dedicated and loving father who always found time to play catch outside and coach his kids teams growing up. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Boston Red Sox Fan. He enjoyed many hobbies including softball, horse shoes, and bowling. He loved to sing and you would regularly find him singing karaoke anywhere he went. Bill loved music, the louder the better. He loved being surrounded by family and friends often hosting picnics and parties any chance he got.

Bill is survived by his former wife of 40 years, Debra Hayes and their three children, Christine Hayes of Thomaston, Garrett Hayes and his wife Rachel of Watertown, Justin Hayes and his wife Lindsay of Northfield; 11 grandchildren, Jonathan, Kaleigh, Jaydyn, Julian, Kristian, Bowen, Addison, Aubrey, Lilah, Bryson and Garrett Jr.; and his brother John Hayes and his wife Deborah of Thomaston.  Bill is predeceased by his brother Richard and his loving companion Luna.

Calling hours are Saturday, January 7, 2023 from 8:30 to 11:00 A.M. at Lyons Funeral Home, 46 High Street, Thomaston. A funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 A.M. at St. Thomas Church, 1 East Main St. Thomaston. Burial will be held privately.
