Cille was a wonderful neighbor, friend, and citizen. She was always good-natured and was a pleasure to see and chat with.

I am sure that she will be missed terribly by Debbie, Jennifer, Lisa, and Melinda.

It's been an honor and a privilege to have been able to call Lucille Mahar my friend. She was a unique person in every way. I so enjoyed our visits together, talking about everything under the sun, especially food. One of the things I'll remember most about Lucille are the words "I LOVE meatloaf!". I'll never look at meatloaf without thinking of Lucille. (She did love her food.) She had the greatest sense of humor and a love of people, family and life in general; was so kind and giving. I'll miss her terribly but have to say that I am so grateful that I was a part of her life and she of mine.

To Lucille's family: I know you know this, but she adored every one of you. Nothing was more important in her life than her family; you were her world. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Lucille was my second "Mom" in my college years and I loved spending time at the Mahar household. Many of my happiest memories were created in Thomaston with her and the family. I am so happy I got to have her in my life and so sad that she has passed.

Made me laugh, made me think and laughed with and at me. Never have, never will forget her.

I had the privilege and pleasure of driving Lucille in the mid to late ninties through the American Red Cross Senoir Rides Program. She was always a delightful companion. Her loving nature shone through all of her words and actions. I still remember fondly that when she learned that I was moving out of town, she insisted on taking me for lunch at the Monadnock Inn! It was a beautiful experience that I will remember all of my days. She is definitely one of the five people that I hope to see in Heaven. Rest iN Peace and Farewell dear friend. Valerie Owen-Liberty

Every time I would visit her grandson Luke, I would be reminded of my grandmother who I loved dearly. She was always sweet, and always with an interesting story. Every time I saw her I liked her more and more. Really glad I got to meet her.

Lucille was a great lady, she was a member of the Thomaston Woman's Club for many years and that's where I got to know her. Lucille tried to always keep us on track at our meetings and knew not only our bylaws but Robert's rules and regulations and we relied on her many times for these. She was just a sweet woman and will be greatly missed.
