Thomaston – Mrs. Martha Stacia (Bartosiewicz) Nadeau, 96, of Thomaston, passed away on Friday, April 7, 2017 at Regal Care of Torrington. She was the widow of Mr. Walter Nadeau.

Martha was born on February 15, 1921 in Thomaston. Martha worked as an Inspector at the Dorsett Rex Company for over 30 years retiring in 1974. She was a longtime communicant of St. Thomas Church in Thomaston, an active member of the Thomaston Senior Center, a charter member of the Thomaston Fish and Game Club, and a former member of the Daughters of Isabella.

Martha is survived by her daughter, Lois Nadeau of Torrington; her sister, Stacia Cocca of Thomaston; her son-in-law, Thomas Lukmin of Thomaston; and sister-in-law, Gloria Bartosiewicz of Thomaston; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Linda Lukmin; and three brothers, John, Joe and Eddy Bartosiewicz.

A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, April 17, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Thomas Church, 1 East Main St., Thomaston. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery. Family and friends may call prior to mass from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. at the Lyons Funeral Home, 46 High St., Thomaston.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Martha’s name to St. Thomas Church, 19 Electric Avenue, Thomaston, CT 06787
