I was so sad to hear of Mary’s passing. I worked with both Tom and Mary at Thomaston High School for many years. They both meant the world to me.
Mary became my mentor, someone I Iooked up to and admired. She was a wonderful role model. It was a pleasure and honor to work with her. Mary was so dedicated and devoted to the students at THS that she took care of as a nurse and those she taught in the nurse aide program .She was an exceptional person who was always willing to give of her time and talent.
I remember many times when I asked Mary to place the name of my parents or
in-laws in “Mary’s Prayer Jar” when they fell ill. She was such a kind and caring person. I am so thankful to have known Mary. She will always hold a special place in my heart. To know she is reunited with Tom brings some comfort to her passing.
My sympathy, thoughts and prayers are with you.
Sincerely,
Carol Wright

I treasure my time with Mary Reynolds. We met years ago while taking a watercolor class with Dora Cox. I was immediately enthralled by her lovely presence, her joy while being creative. We kept in touch through the years, and she often sent handmade cards with her art work and an inspirational quote. Now you are in a place of perfect peace, joy and health, Mary, with your dear husband. I will miss you, and I will love you forever. Love never dies!

What a wonderful person and neighbor. I will remember her most for starting our neighborhood (now townwide) Fourth of July parade. In doing so, she brought together a small community for decades. My sympathy and thoughts to all her family.

Mrs. Reynolds was my CNA teacher and a great inspiration to me. I was also one of the first neighborhood children in her 4th of July parade. What a beautiful soul. I am blessed to have known her. My deepest condolences to your family.

Mrs. Reynolds was my CNA teacher way back when...someone who touched my life in a very positive way at a young age...she was there for me not only as an amazing teacher, but for guidance, support and always with her infectious kind/caring smile that brought a calm and comfort energy always! I will find joy in reflecting upon those moments shared with her! My sympathy to family and friends....and to Mrs. Reynolds, a special thank you for all you brought to my young world!! Dear Tom & Family,

I am so very sorry for your loss. It was my distinct honor getting to know both your wonderful Dad and your amazing Mom. I had so much fun working with your Mom on a few July 4th parades. She truly was a wonderful woman and her spirit and goodness shall remain with you always. It is time to truly celebrate her incredible life and from this day forward, the stars will forever shine brighter!

I hope that countless memories of love & laughter will carry you through this very difficult time. I also hope that this poem will offer some comfort.

Sincerely,
Greg

Softly Sprinkled Rain
By Greg O'Brien

A flower closes
as it dances on a twilight breeze
the clouds float by
as the sun says goodnight
and nothing seems changed
as the glow fades from sight
But this day is different
because of one silenced voice
a loved one has left us
and we’re faced with a choice
Do we renew our faith
and be thankful for time
or simply grieve with questions
and look for a sign
For it can be easy to show anger
or perhaps to feel blame
but instead simply remember
as you whisper their name
Strive to remember the joy
of the laughter once shared
and to make them a promise
that they’ll always be here
That you will include them in thought
as each new day dawns
whispering their name softly
as each day rolls on
For they will surely return this favor
as they help ease your pain
by opening flowers with gentle breezes
and softly sprinkled rain

Mrs. Reynolds was a wonderful mentor, she changed my life. I had no direction when I took her CNA class (just to have 6 extra study halls a week.) By the end of the year I was enrolled in nursing school-34 years later I still love it , proud to be her on senior teacher day, thankful she helped shape my life. One lesson was to smile no matter what's going on and persevere. R.I.P. and thank you

Mrs. Reynolds had a big part in me becoming a nurse. She pulled me aside in high school and persuaded me to join the CNA program. Best thing I ever could have done. I worked as a CNA for 10 years and then became an RN. She truly made a huge impact on building my future and becoming the nurse I am today. Absolutely amazing woman!
