I will always remember my cousin the first day he came home from band with his Saxophone. It was from day one the spark in the eye and the music in his soul drove him to play! His blond hair and little smile always reminded me of Dennis the Menace. He loved to create music it was in his blood. He was taken from us way to soon, but I am glad he touched my life and will always be remembered through the music.

To the Scully family, you don't me but I am sad for your loss. I worked with Bob at Lewis Corp. back in the 80's for a very short time yet I still have the fondest memories of Bob and that shows that he left an impression on me. We worked in the same shop yet didn't work together so we were never side by side but I remember his sense of humor was a great one, maybe dry at times but still a nice guy who was funny and nice to have known. I again express my deepest sympathies to all that were close to him, I am sure he will be deeply missed by all.

To all of the Scully Family, with deepest sympathy on the passing of Bob. I had known him for many years. Met him in the 70's when he played in the band "Kartune". My girlfriends and I followed the band where ever they went and made a lot of fond memories. He was a very talented musician and a gentleman. He was one of the funniest guy's I've ever known,,, his rendition of the Mexican Midget and at the "Last Supper" with the band at Ho Jo's. He could always make you laugh. He will be missed by all who knew him.

My son called me from Phoenix, AZ and told me me we'd lost another cousin. I couldn't believe it when he said Bobby's name. I keep gong back to the the last time I saw Bobby; at his father's wake and funeral. I am in a wheel chair and require an aide at all times. When my aide, another "Thomaston girl," Virginia Gilbert, wheeled me to him, Bobby hugged her and greeted me very formally, like one would a stranger. I realized immediately he had no idea who I was. Being a Knox, we don't stand on ceremony. I said, "Hey, I';m your cousin, not her, pointing to Virginia. I'm Holly's sister, Peggy. He turned red and hugged me. I told him he owed me a second, because he didn't know I was his cousin. He laughed and gave me a second. Roger, his brother came along just then and Bobby tried to signal him I was their cousin. Roger said, 'I know she's our cousin!" Then Bobby got very emotional and said he couldn't believe it--Holly had called him from Maryland, where she lives, and my other two sisters were in the other room and now me, and he knew it wasn't easy for me to come. I said, "Bobby do you think I would miss my best good-looking cousin's funeral?".They both laughed and said, "He thought so too!" We didn't get much time to visit. But like when we always loose somebody we love unexpectantly, we always want more time.. My illness will prevent me from sharing my last respects for Bobby with all of you. Virginia will let his family, my cousins, know how much I wanted to be there. I know how much Bobby loved music. He played at his cousin Joanne Franculli's wedding, even when a thunderstorm had take the electricity from the venue the night before.
No matter--we had a good time, especially when I danced the hora with my little sister Holly--I don't know who laughed the hardest Bobby, my sister, or myself.
Yes, we'll miss you! Love, Your cousin, Peggy J. Knox

Skull,

I was crushed to hear of your passing. You were taken way too early. There were songs to write, play, sing, & record. The way I see it, they took the wrong guy. You had too much unfinished business to tend to down here. But I knew you well. It's a sure bet that you didn't go willingly. I'm sure that you said that it wasn't time to go yet. You always did have something to say. That was one of your greatest attributes...

I will always remember the great times that we had writing songs together. And we spent a lot of time on our songs. It was all good, even the times when we would disagree & fight, especially over the lyric. For you & me it was all about the music, the song. We co-wrote some great songs. And don't think for one minute that I'm going to let those songs go unnoticed. Our songs will live on. You can count on me for that. After all, I would have expected the same from you...

You were a great friend. My wife & I will miss you dearly. In case you didn't know, Sue
thought the world of you.

I'll never forget the great times that we shared. And hey, I know that whenever I may need a great lyric idea, or a horn line, all I will have to do is look up to the sky. I'll know that before long you'll be sending something down to me. I always knew that I could count on you...

Your Buddy,

BT

Dear Scully family,
You don't know me but I hope you'll accept my deep regrets for your loss for death is our greatest enemy and always brings much pain and grief but I found comfort and hope in what Jehovah Gods word the Bible when I lost my whole family to this enemy. This I found at John11:11 that says they're just asleep and Jesus says at John5:28,29 that we'll see our love ones again and we also have the comfort of knowing that this enemy will be done away with as ICor15:26 states. These scriptures help me get through each day because I miss my family so much and I truly hope they'll help you in some way for this is my purpose in sharing this with you. Please know I do share your grief.
Sincerely, Gloria

Never forget when I was a teen at a jam session at Bob Collins house party that bob Scully smiled and said I was playin real dirty and that was a good thing ! From an older musician to a kid that meant a lot! Used to run into bob here and there playing over the last 30 years or do and was always a gentlemen and a great tribute to genuine working musicians everywhere! He will be missed

I only met Bob a couple times at gigs, and I became one of his friends on Facebook because we shared similar ideals and we both played keyboards in similar type groups. I was stunned to read in the paper he passed away. I will greatly miss his one of a kind humor and his courage to call out what he saw that was wrong in the world today. RIP friend. Know that you have touched many in your life for all the right reasons.
