Thomaston- Mr. Chester B. Chizinski, 88, died on Tuesday, July, at his home. He was the husband of Eleanor (Rogozinski) Chizinski.

Mr. Chizinski was born in Terryville on July 8, 1926 to the late Frank and Bernice Chizinski. He attended Terryville schools and later served as a sergeant with the eighth air force as a radio operator in the U.S. and Europe during WWII.

He was an avid golfer and was a member of the Pequabuck Golf Club for over sixty years, winning many club events plus the 1975 Bristol City Championship. Chester and his brother-in-law, Richard Rogozinski, founded the Eastern Photographic Labs in Thomaston and employed over 400 people. After 40 years they sold the business.

In addition to his beloved wife Eleanor of 66 years, he leaves his daughter, Elaine McEachern of Arizona, two sons, Timothy and wife Ellen of Thomaston, son Paul of Thomaston; his daughter-in-law Joann; six grandchildren, Matthew, Kelly, Jeffrey, Jennifer, Nicholas and Andy; two great-grandchildren, Annalise and Madelyn Cimmenera. He was predeceased by his son Jeffrey.

The family would like to thank Bristol Hospital Hospice for their care and especially Arielle.
