Thomaston – Mary A. Tycenski, 93, of Thomaston passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, April 8, 2014 at Cook Willow Health Center in Plymouth.

Mary was born on January 23, 1921 in Thomaston, daughter of the late Alexander and Anna (Waleska) Tycenski. A lifelong Thomaston resident, she attended local schools and was a graduate of Thomaston High School. Mary was a secretary at Seth Thomas Clock Company for a number of years, a member of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary and the Thomaston Seniors. She was a communicant at St. Thomas Church.

Mary is survived by two sisters, Edna Tycenski and Jane Krulicki; four nieces, Christine Boccardi (Richard), Elizabeth Durante (Alfred), Aimee Keough (Martin), and Patricia Mastro (Steven); a sister-in-law, Helen Tycenski; and 10 grand nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her three brothers, Teofil, Stephen, and Edward; and a sister, Helen.

Arrangements: Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April. 10, 2014, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Thomas Church, 1 E. Main St., Thomaston. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at the church. Prayers of Committal will be held privately in St. Thomas Cemetery. There are no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are asked to be made in Mary’s name to St. Thomas Church, 19 Electric Ave, Thomaston, CT 06787.
